Early Years and Foundation Stage Curriculum PDF Print
For pupils in the Foundation Stage, the curriculum includes the six areas of learning, as follows: personal, social and emotional development; language, literacy and communication; problem solving, reasoning and number; knowledge and understanding of the world; physical development; and creative development.

We have a classroom which provides a complete curriculum and varies only according to the topics and in response to the children’s interests. The children learn through REAL experience and using all their senses. Above all they have a happy and secure time here.

There are many activities that encourage talking and communicating with each other as well as the acquisition of key skills through songs and interesting objects (communication, language and literacy). They have a regular book time and a whole range of books to choose form.  During the Foundation stage, children are introduced to letter sounds and early reading.

Writing or  mark making comes in many forms.

Mathematics is experienced in many active ways.

The children develop their Knowledge &  Understanding of the world through real experiences.

Physical development is carefully thought out through a PE programme, dance and  lots of outdoor play.
